Some dentists are buying Halloween candy for $1 per pound. Your kid gets the money, and the candy gets sent to soldiers overseas. It's called -- wait for it -- Halloween Candy Buy Back. If you visit the site, you can enter your zip code to see if there are any dentists participating in the program. It looks as though there's only one in Miami-Dade, but more in Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Honestly, I think that is silly. More and more our kids are not getting to be kids. It's one day a year. Let them pig out (and their parents *ahem*) on candy and quit being so politically correct or green or health conscious or carb conscious or just whatever and let them be kids! We don't keep candy or junk food in the house the other 364 days, it's not going to kill him to have a piece of chocolate or two once a year. The whole point of Halloween is the candy. Now it's bad to have it and they want to take it away? Ridiculous.

We're not doing this ... just presenting this idea as an option for people who want to do it.

Did I say "fat girl's chocolate"? I meant "my son's Halloween candy". Yea, that's what I meant.

Heh! I love chocolate too. Too much. I may or may not have sneaked a mini bag of M&Ms last night. I understand!
